WASHINGTON — Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) appeared on Fox News Channel‘s Fox & Friends on Saturday, April 27, 2013, to discuss the controversy surrounding United Nations Human Rights Council official Richard Falk’s recent essay insinuating that the recent terrorist attack in Boston was justified. Below are highlights from his interview.

Rep. Kelly on Richard Falk blaming America for the attack in Boston:

“First of all, it’s outrageous. … This guy is bad copy. … We should be outraged as Americans that this is allowed to happen.”

On Richard Falk’s past anti-American and anti-Semitic statements:

“He’s consistent – this is not the first time he’s done that. … He’s been an American basher for a long time. He’s an anti-Israeli basher. This guy has gone out of his way to do some outrageous things and some slanderous things.”

On what the U.S. and U.N. should do in response:

“I want to thank Ambassador Rice – she ‘tweeted’ – but I’m saying a two-sentence ‘tweet’ isn’t enough. We’re circulating two letters right now in Congress — one to … urge the president to stand up and demand … that [Richard Falk] be taken off that U.N. council, and another letter to the Secretary-General to also do the same: take him off the council.”
