Kelly, Deluzio amendment for Pittsburgh area's "Neighborhood 91" included in defense appropriations package

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- On Thursday, September 28, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Dept. of Defense Appropriations bill, which includes an amendment supported by U.S. Reps. Mike Kelly (R-PA-16) and Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17) for $10 million for "Neighborhood 91," a comprehensive manufacturing production campus located near Pittsburgh International Airport.
"America was built with Pittsburgh steel and Western Pennsylvania manufacturing," Rep. Kelly said. "This funding continues that tradition and ensures that products used to support our national defense will be made right here in Pennsylvania as well."
“This funding is a huge win for the people of Western Pennsylvania and for our national mission to manufacture more here at home,” said Rep. Deluzio. “Bolstered by federal defense investments, this innovative facility around the airport is poised to grow solid jobs and boost our local economy, all while building a Resilient Manufacturing Ecosystem to provide critical parts for our military. I am proud to have worked with Rep. Mike Kelly to deliver these federal funds back home and help grow manufacturing in Western Pennsylvania.”
The amendment was included in the U.S. House version of the defense appropriations package, which now heads to the U.S. Senate for further consideration.

Current tenants include Wabtec Corporation, Cumberland Additive, Metal Powder Works, HAMR, RJ Lee, The Future of Jewelry, and Westmoreland Mechanical Testing Laboratory.
