December 12, 2022

GROVE CITY, PA -- On Friday, December 9, U.S. Rep. The awards presentation was hosted by Rep. Kelly's office at Grove City College in Grove City, Pa.

"I want to congratulate all of the winners from this year's Congressional App Challenge competition, and thank you to everyone who participated," Rep. Kelly said. "This contest is a great way for students pursuing a career in engineering or computer science to showcase their skills and put into practice what they have learned in the classroom. I was very impressed with all of the great apps at this year's competition!"

BACKGROUND

The Congressional APP Challenge inspires students’ efforts around STEM, coding, and computer science.  It is a national contest and winning apps from each Congressional district are eligible to be displayed in the US Capitol Building and featured on the House of Representative’s website, House.gov.

This year, Rep. Kelly received submissions from 13 students.  All the students are underclassmen, and we look forward to seeing them again next year. This is Rep. Kelly's 4th year participating in the Congressional APP Challenge.

Every year we challenge students in our district to create and submit their original APPS for a chance to win the Congressional App Challenge.
