Kelly to Vote Against Articles of Impeachment

Dec 13, 2019

Washington, D.C. - Today, the House Committee on the Judiciary passed two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, formally accusing him of an "abuse of power" and "obstruction of Congress." The articles will now be considered by the whole House of Representatives. Following the vote, Representative Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) released this statement:

"Democrats have made it crystal clear all along that this impeachment inquiry isn't about protecting the Constitution or upholding their oath of office. This is about political vengeance and damaging the president ahead of the 2020 election. I have opposed this effort since it began and will vote against both articles of impeachment on the House floor."
