Washington, D.C. — U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (PA-03) today received the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his support of pro-jobs, pro-growth policies during the first session of the 112th Congress. The Chamber is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry. The award has been given annually for the past 24 years.
“Over the past year, Congressman Kelly has worked to protect and advance the interests of America’s job creators,” said Thomas J. Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber. “By supporting pro-growth policies, Congressman Kelly is helping unleash the power of free enterprise to put our economy back on track and put Americans back to work.”
“As someone who has employed hundreds of people throughout my career in the private sector, I know what it takes to run and grow a business,” said Rep. Kelly. “My pro-growth record in Congress is a reflection of that experience, and I will continue to fight for the types of tax and regulatory reform that I know will restore confidence in our economy and send a signal to job creators that Washington will stand with them in their efforts to create opportunity and growth in our nation once again.”
