Representative Kelly Convenes First Meetings of Three Newly Formed Advisory Boards
Washington, D.C. — This week, U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (PA-03) held the first meetings of three newly formed advisory boards, including: the Sportsmen’s Advisory Board, the Agriculture Advisory Board, and the Foreign Affairs Advisory Board. Each board is made up of individuals from throughout the Third District who represent a variety of professions, industries, and civic organizations that have subject matter expertise in their board’s respective areas of interest.
“When I ran for office, it wasn’t so that I could be Washington’s voice in western Pennsylvania; it was so that I could be western Pennsylvania’s voice in Washington,” said Rep. Kelly. “The men and women who serve on my advisory boards are there to help me better understand the challenges and needs of the people I serve, so that I can make informed decisions based on the experiences and perspectives of those serving in the field. I am grateful to all who have volunteered their time to serve their communities and their nation in these important advisory roles.”
All of Rep. Kelly’s advisory boards will meet periodically throughout his first term and will offer counsel on an as-needed basis.
