Rep. Kelly statement condemning acts of antisemitism

November 16, 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) released the following statement in the wake of the heinous display of antisemitism outside the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. late Wednesday evening.

“Last night, a group of pro-Hamas protesters violently attacked the Democratic National Committee headquarters near the U.S. Capitol. We must condemn these violent protests in the strongest terms possible. I want to personally thank U.S. Capitol Police for their work to quickly evacuate and protect Members of Congress, staff, and civilians in the area," Rep. Kelly said. "We must also be clear: The barbaric October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas was the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Despite the ceasefire these protesters are calling for, Israel has every right to defend itself and its citizens during this war. We must stand with Israel.”
