Rep. Kelly Statement on 14th Anniversary of 9/11

WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (PA-03) issued the following statement today in recognition of the 14th anniversary of the al Qaeda terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, as well as the third anniversary of the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

“On this morning 14 years ago, our world changed forever. On this night three years ago – on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, in Benghazi, Libya – the same face of terror struck us again. We must never forget these acts of unspeakable evil and what they mean.

“We must never forget those we lost and those who sacrificed. We must never forget the heroism and the resilience that shined through the darkness and despair. And we must never forget that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for the good to do nothing.

“May God bless the United States of America, and all those who nobly defend her, today and always.”
