Rep. Kelly to host annual School Safety Seminar in Greenville

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) announced his annual School Safety Seminar will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:00a.m. ET at Thiel College in Greenville, Pa.

Experts from the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Administration will be joining Rep. Kelly to help answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend.

The event is open to all responsible for school safety, including administrators, guidance counselors, law enforcement, safety professionals, school board members and more. From preventive and protective measures to response and recovery tactics, the seminar will cover a comprehensive list of topics relevant to the challenges our schools face.

"Young people are 25% of our population, but they are 100% of our future," Kelly said. "This annual event offers local leaders the chance to learn important skills and information to keep our schools safe and secure. I encourage school officials, especially our local school board members, to attend this seminar."
