Rep. Kelly Appointed to House Education & Workforce Committee
Speaker Boehner appoints Rep. Kelly to fill seat vacated by Rep. Gowdy, current chair of Benghazi committee
WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) – a member of the House Ways and Means Committee – issued the following statement today regarding his appointment by House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) to the House Education and the Workforce Committee. Rep. Kelly will fill the seat of Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who is currently serving as chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, until the end of the 113th Congress. Rep. Kelly previously served on the Education and the Workforce Committee for the 112th Congress during his first term in the House.
