January 3, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) was sworn into office for the 119th Congress during a ceremony held at the U.S. Capitol. Kelly, of Butler, won re-election in November by 63.7% to 36.3% and will serve his eighth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

"I'm honored to once again serve the incredible people of Pennsylvania's 16th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives," Rep. Kelly said. "Americans made it clear in November: they are seeking change in Washington. House Republicans are committed to tackling runaway spending, lowering inflation, securing our borders, and restoring American greatness both at home and abroad. I look forward to having President Trump and his America First policies back in the White House. Let's get to work!"

Also on Friday, Kelly supported Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) for Speaker of the House in the 119th Congress.

“Speaker Mike Johnson has been a strong leader for the House Republican Conference. I look forward to working with him once again in the 119th Congress as we work to lower taxes, secure our borders, and get our great nation back on track," Rep. Kelly said. "Congratulations, Mr. Speaker!”
