Kelly Announces Formation of New “Business & Economic Roundtable”

Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly (PA-16) announced the formation of his new “Business & Economic Roundtable” to bring local business leaders together and to help guide the Representative’s economic policy. The roundtable comes after months of rising and historic inflation, a bottlenecked supply chain, labor shortages, and other problems plaguing companies of all sizes and industries.
The 17-member panel represents all five counties making up Rep. Kelly’s 16th Congressional District and consists of key industries from the district, including health care, agriculture, manufacturing, grocery and retail, and more. Rep. Kelly’s Business & Economic Roundtable is expected to meet quarterly throughout 2022.
"This roundtable brings together some of the best and brightest business minds in Northwest Pennsylvania," Kelly said. "Whether it's soaring inflation or the struggle to find and retain employees, local businesses have been hit hard over the last year. By creating this roundtable, we hope to develop commonsense solutions that will help local companies and can shape our economic policy in Washington."
The Business & Economic Roundtable brings together a series of individual roundtables and advisory boards Rep. Kelly previously formed during his early years in Congress.
The Roundtable's first meeting is scheduled for next week, Feb. 22, 2022, in Sharon, Pa. The meeting follows news last week that annual inflation jumped to its highest level in 40 years.
