ICYMI: Western PA Small Business Employees Receive Brutal News About Health Care Costs Due to Obamacare

January 30, 2014

On day of president’s visit to Pittsburgh, workers at local company face devastating news caused by Obamacare; Rep. Kelly responds

WATCH WTAE 4 NEWS REPORT HERE

WASHINGTON — Representative Mike Kelly (PA-3) issued the following statement today in response to yesterday evening’s news report by WTAE 4, the ABC affiliate of Pittsburgh, detailing the impact of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) on employees’ health care plans at Simonetta’s Collision and Car Care in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

“It is ruthlessly ironic that on the same day that President Obama came to Western Pennsylvania to promote his policies to workers at U.S. Steel, other employees just a short drive away were hit by devastating news caused directly by his unfair health care law. As a Representative and as a deeply concerned citizen, watching last night’s news report was painful — but not nearly as painful as the grossly higher insurance costs now being imposed on those hardworking employees. Their story further cements the indisputable truth being realized from coast to coast: people’s lives are being changed for the worse by Obamacare. My heart is with all Pennsylvanians and all Americans being hurt by Obamacare, and my resolve toward dismantling this disastrous law has never been stronger.”
