Rep. Kelly Celebrates World Autism Awareness Day
WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) issued the following statement today in recognition of the sixth annual World Autism Awareness Day.
“Today is a day for encouragement, awareness, and celebration. As this year’s Autism Awareness Day unfolds, I remain very proud that the Third District is home to the Barber National Institute in Erie, a phenomenal organization that changes lives and makes dreams come true. Also in our district is the Asperger Initiative at Mercyhurst University (AIM) which sets a national example for student disability services. I commend and thank both of these organizations – and the devoted employees of similar organizations throughout our entire country – for all the noble work they do for our brave neighbors, friends, and family members living with developmental disabilities. They are all heroes among us.”
