On U.S. House floor, Rep. Kelly pays tribute to late Pittsburgh Steelers RB Franco Harris, remembers 50th anniversary of Pittsburgh Pirates' Roberto Clemente's death

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) paid tribute to remember the lives and legacies of two incredible Pittsburgh athletes and humanitarians: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Franco Harris, who died on December 20, 2022; and Pittsburgh Pirates right fielder Roberto Clemente ahead of the 50th anniversary of his tragic death on December 31, 1972.

"I had the blessing of knowing Mr. Harris. He was a very imposing figure, and he was a phenomenal athlete."
