Presents his new manufacturing bill to President Trump

WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (R-PA) participated in a “Made in America” roundtable discussion yesterday afternoon in in the East Room of the White House that featured representatives from 20 different companies that manufacture their products in the United States, including Channellock, Inc. from Meadville, Pennsylvania. The meeting was hosted by President Donald Trump and was also attended by Vice President Mike Pence, Department of Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, Director of the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro, and U.S. Representatives Frank Lucas (R-OK), Erik Paulsen (R-MN), and Claudia Tenney (R-NY). While addressing President Trump, Rep. Kelly handed him a copy of his recent legislation, the Invent and Manufacture in America Act (H.R. 3068), to boost domestic manufacturing and create jobs. During remarks by Jon DeArment, president of Channellock, Inc., President Trump personally evaluated a set of pliers produced by the company.
